A small, flexible splint is then applied to stabilize it while the surrounding bone heals. You must seek replantation within one hour to maximize the chance of tooth survival. The sooner, the better.
When a tooth is partially pushed out of position (luxated), we’ll reposition it and stabilize it using a thin splint attached to adjacent teeth. This allows the periodontal ligaments and bone to reattach properly. You may also need a root canal if the pulp is damaged.
